TO CREATE A BOOKLET THAT CONSISTS 18 TO 25 PAGES ,WITH FRONT AND BACK COVER OF JOURNAL BOOKLET

PROGRESS

1. To watch a movie documentary "Earth (2007)" 
2. An introduction (min 4 pages): Front cover, Introduction about yourself and a summary of the movie documentary
3. Nature Elements (min 10 pages): From the movie documentary,select and describe 3 flora elements, 3 fauna elements, 2 nature              setting/typology and 2 nature phenomenas
4. Reflection (min 4 pages): From the movie documentary,select and describe my favourite scene/section in the movie documentary, 1      environmental issue and realisation and perspective or reflection about nature

FINAL OUTCOME

REFLECTION

After this project, I have learned how to identify the different elements of nature. Moreover,I also learn that how to describe the different characteristics of nature by exploring the basic elements such as natural topography, landscape.Also,I really enjoyed watching this movie.Through this movie, I  found that

 Miniature Shelter

PROJECT 1(B)

REQUIREMENT 

TASK

TO CREATE 4-6 A2 SIZE BOARD BASED ON THE MINIATURE SHELTER IN NATURE

PROGRESS

1. To choose 1 or 2 combinations of earth components which is hydrosphere and geomosphere

2. From the natural setting, find a main suitable site, and within its choose a shelter site

3. On your site, you have to do a site study, including site survey, site inventory and site analysis 

4. Base on the assigned character for each group (our's was Koslov from Zootopia), each group need to study and consider the                      needs/essential of the characters in terms of its nature and adaptation

5. Next, it's to build a miniature shelter for the assigned character using a set of blocks 

6. Make sure to give 2 options of implementation of shelter on site

7. Record down the condition of site before and after implementation o shelter

8. Lastly, it's to present all findings on presentation boards

FINAL OUTCOME

REFLECTION

Through this project, I was able to learn how to work efficiently in a group as this was my first group work project in this course. I've learned that it's important to delegate jobs for each members so that all could contribute and to have the final outcome to be filled with each and everyone's unique ideas and design. Also this was my first time having to so a site study, which includes you to personally analyse and observe the site physically, having said that to take note of all the small details (surroundings, materials, height and width).

MY " X" HOMETOWN

PROJECT 2(A)

REQUIREMENT

TO CREATE ON A4 SIZE FOLD OUT PAMPHLET WITH A MAXIMUM OF 10 PAGE 

PROGRESS

I LAYOUT AND WRITE DOWN ALL THE THINGS THAT I WANT TO PUT IN PAMPHLET

1. Give a title to your township (mine was "My Beloved Hometown")

2. Create a front cover (own illustration of your township) and back cover (student's name, ID, batch, module and photo)

3. From your selected township/city, we are needed to include key plan, location plan and site plan, along with the background and history,      significant components/elements or landmarks and main accessibility to your township

4. Next, you are required to choose a area within your chosen township/city and elaborate the tangible and intangible components.                  Tangible: zoning of different category/typology or buildings, road circulation & transportation, existing infrastructure or facilities and public                     space.

    Intangible: culture, activity and safety 

5. You are also needed to identify your favourite part of your area and discuss the tangible and intangible

6. Lastly, give ideas of improvement and how you envision your town in the future based on related issues

FINAL OUTCOME

REFLECTION

I have learned how to observe and analyse sites using online gadgets, such as Google Earth and Google Maps. Also, I now have a deeper understanding of my hometown, especially on things I have never noticed before (eg: landmarks and accessibilities). Since this project required us to fold our papers into pamphlet manner, I have learned how to arrange and plan beforehand, so that my final outcome would have a clear and understandable flow of information.

SITE STUDY AND STREET INTERVENTION

PROJECT 2(B)

TASKS

TO CREATE 4-6 A1 SIZE BOARDS BASED ON OUR SITE STUDY RESREACH AND STREET INTERVENTION IDEAS 

PROGRESS

REQUIREMENT

1. To conduct a site study on assigned site (our's was Kampung Baru, Jalan Raja Muda Musa)

2. Have a macro study of the site that includes: introduction (background, history and data on populations), key plan, location plan and sun        path of your site, accessibilities to site and also site zoning

3. Have a micro study of the site with aids such as elevation/perspective/section/sketches view of the street that includes: distance and time        between 2 places & crowd density, street content & surroundings, zoning/building typology, function or type of space, accessibilities,            circulations, traffic, connectivity/juction, transports hubs, physical characteristic of the area and facade study, public facilities, built and            natural elements, sensory and activity and safety, unique features at the street

4. Have a SWOT study (strength, weakness, opportunity and threat)

5. Propose street intervention ideas, which are based on SWOT study and with the aim to improve or fix the issues of the street

FINAL OUTCOME

REFLECTION

Through this project, I have learned how to efficiently observe sites, noticing small details of every corner and taking notes of the happenings in my surrounding. Furthermore , I have learned team work as this project could not be done without proper delegation of work, group discussions, gathering different ideas from different perspectives and also giving each other physical and mental support. My group and I have gained knowledge on how to arrange information and drawings in such a way that the flow of boards would be smooth, interesting and understandable.We also need to draw our site in different kind of view such as elevation view, perspective view and plan view . To put in the nutshell ,this project have improved my skill on observation.
